She was preceded in death by five sisters, Gertrude Johnson, Jessie Woodward, Esther Branthaver, Arlene Artley and Joyce Derouin two brothers, William Jones, Jr. Jean is survived by her sons, Calvin (Fay) Rose, Mark (Debbie) Rose and Matthew (Laura) Rose her daughter, Melissa (Jim) Jones nine grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, Nicholas, Ashley, Matthew, Austin, Alyssa, Jessica and Leanne 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Jean was a member of the Quinnesec United Methodist Church for over 50 years. An avid Kingsford Flivver fan, Jean worked in food services for Breitung Township Schools and was known as the “Candy Lady.” She loved her collection of angels, and she especially loved her family, her grandchildren, and her church. ![]() She graduated from Escanaba High School in 1948 and married Warren Rose that same year he preceded her in death in 1999. Jean was born March 10, 1930, in Gladstone, Mich., daughter of the late William and Mima (Moore) Jones.
